Birthday Card

This card I made for one of my friends birthdays. The blue backing paper is K & Co, which I mounted onto cream card. The stamped image is a Tuscan Rose stamp, which I stamped a couple twice onto white card. I cut out the full image and then cut out the top butterfly and the framed square so I could 3d them. I coloured the stamped image using various distress inks and the butterfly and frame sqaure I coloured with distress inks and then used a versamark ink pad and clear UTEE to give them a nice glossy finish. I attached the butterfly and square onto the card using foam pads. I then stamped Happy Birthday onto the card, but I don't think it really goes too well with the overall card.

Sorry I am so behind on checking your blog-having a (4th!) baby is a lot of work! This card really caught my eye because I just love the butterflies. I love the stamp/ad image, and the 3d butterfly. It actually looks like the body is real! Any occasion on this card would be a happy one!
