Quick Card

Another wet day here again - roll on spring.

I made a quick card to send with my BIA book to my forum friend. I used my Craft Robo to cut the card out and added decoupage to the front - a very simple and quick card.

First BIA Book

Another wet day here today - I think I'll have to grow webbed feet :-)

Here is my first proper Bind It All project. I am quite pleased with the results and have learned quite alot of things for when I do my next one.
This is the front cover of the book, I didn't think it needed anything adding to it as it is quite a "busy" paper. The paper is from K & Co Garden Collage pad.

The inside cover of the book is again covered with scrapbook papers and the "imagine stamp" is a Heidi Swapp one, which I stamped and heat embossed. The next page was stamped using a brilliance 3 colour ink pad and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The stamp is from Crafty Individuals.

The left page is again stamped and heat embossed and the stamp is another Crafty Individuals one. The right page is covered with Anna Griffin paper and the "Smile" stamp is from DMD. The butterfly is one I bought from Dawn Bibby's shop and it comes already glittered.

The left page I stamped in encore metalic ink and heat embossed it. I aslo re-stamped one of the butterflies onto yellow card and decoupage it to put a little colour in the page. The right page is a DMD stamp, which I stamped onto yellow vellum and heat embossed again. I just added a few papermania die-cut flowers.

The left page again I stamped using encore metalic ink and heat embossed. The "dream a little dream" is a stamp by Anita's which was stamped onto yellow vellum. The butterfly stamp is another Crafty Individuals stamp, again stamped onto yellow vellum and again I re-stamped the butterfly and decoupaged it. The right page is a DMD stamp, stamped with Versamark pale blue ink and embossed. I attached this to the page using little flower brads and then just added a couple of Papermania flower stickers.

The right page is part of a download scrapbook page / set from Cuddly Buddly. I inked the tag using versamark ink and stamped Smile on it in a darker purple ink. I then added two pieces of twill ribbon, which I also inked with versamark purple ink. The last page is the inside of the back cover and I just covered it with scrapbook papers and stamped and heat embossed the saying - I think it is an Anita's stamp.

The back of the book is basically the same as the front. When the book was finished I just added a few bits of fibres and ribbons onto the o wires.

I made a box and covered the lid with the K & Co Garden Collage paper. I decided to send this book to a forum friend who has been feeling a bit down in the dumps lately. I hope she likes it.
Now I have completed my first book, I can't wait to start on my next one :-)

Work in progress

Another wet day here today - at least the roof isn't leaking now.

I've been busy making my first Bind It All book today. Hopefully I will be able to post some pics of it tomorrow as it is currently drying (glue and silicone) and then I just need to put it all together.

Altered Tin

It's been a miserable day here today, it rained most of the day. I've not been upto much today, but I did make a few things yesterday.

The first thing is an altered tin. This is the first time I've altered anything. I used my alcohol inks to cover the tin and then used old paper distress ink on the background of the butterfly and tore the edges and edged them with walnut stain distress ink. The butterfly stamp is from Crafty Individuals and was stamped using walnut distress ink and then I coloured it with some Adirondack ink. I just added two little flowers and a few bits of raffia.

I also made a Fat Book Page, again using my alcohol inks and distress ink pads. The butterfly stamp is from DMD and I stamped it using walnut stain distress ink onto a piece of card which I had distressed using old paper distress ink. Again I coloured the stamped image with a little Adironack ink and added a couple of flowers and tied a piece of raffia around the page.

My First Play With Alcholol Inks

Well my alcohol inks arrived the other day, so I had a play with them last night. I used latte, ginger, caramel and cranberry inks to make the background. I used some distress ink pads on hammered cardstock (old paper and walnut stain). The dragonfly is a rubber stamp from Clevercut, and I used a graphite black Brilliance ink pad to stamp onto the alcohol inked background.

Whilst I love the effect I got, I don't like the card at all. I think I will try some ATC's and Fat Book Pages as I think these will look much better.

Hubby has took the boys out today, so I'm off for another play with my inks and stamps.

Some Good News

I'm so excited, my daughter has just sent me a message to say that she has a new job. She went for an interview on Thursday with British Airways and she has got the job :-) I'm so pleased for her and also very proud too.

Here are a couple of Fat Book Pages which I made yesterday. They were made using digital downloads from Cuddly Buddly. Some of the elements of the flowers have been decoupaged and the backs are covered with the same papers and have two tags eyeletted together with my details of the swap written on the bottom tag.

Roof leaking

Just thought I'd best make a posting as I haven't posted anything this week. I've not had much time for crafting this week as we had a bit of a disaster - we have a hole in our roof and water was dripping through the upstairs ceiling :-( Hopefully we will be able to get it sorted out quickly and before we have any more rain.

I made a few Fat Book Pages today, so will hopefully get them uploaded tomorrow.

Oriental ATC's

I've had a busy crafty day today. OH took the boys out this afternoon and I got my ink and stamps out, dusted them off and set to play. These three ATC's are for a swap on CSF, I used distress ink pads to do the backgrounds (old page and walnut) and then I used different small oriental stamps to finish off the background. The geisha's were stamped onto photo paper and then rubbed over with a little more distress ink. I just added an oriental "coin" and a bit of red ribbon/fibers.

Fat Book Pages

Again, carrying on with the oriental theme I made a couple of Fat Book Pages, for a swap on CSF. I used backing papers from Joanna Sheens Oriental Dreams cd and stamped and embossed the geisha's with gold embossing powder onto off white cardstock. I then used irridescent gold H20's and just painted over the cardstock to give a lovely shiney effect. Mounted onto red and black card and then I just added a couple of gold fans on the side.

These next two Fat Book Pages were stamped and embossed again with gold embossing powder. This is the first time I've used this stamp and I love it - it is a Crafty Individuals stamp. I used scrapbook paper for the background and just mounted the stamped images onto pink and brown-grain card, inked the edges of the pages with brilliance ink and added a pink bow.

Goodies Arrived

No crafting today, but I did receive quite a few crafty bits which I had ordered online. I got some lovely Distress Ink Pads and some Crafty Individual stamps, which look lovely. Hopefully I will get time to try them out tomorrow.

A Couple of Scrapbook Pages

This page was made for a challenge on Craft Swap Forum - the subject was "presents". The papers I used are Papermania. I stamped the word presents and punched them out using a tag punch then threaded ribbon though them.

This page was my first attempt at scrapbooking - I made it about 12 months ago. I just need to put the date in the bottom left corner.

I'm glad this year is almost over and I'm looking forward to 2008.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year.

Made a couple of cards today

This first card is another version of the card I made yesterday. This one is printed on high gloss photo paper and has a lovely shine to it. I added a lilac ribbon and bow - I like this one much more than the one I did yesterday. This is a thank you card for someone who sent me a lovely crafting gift for Christmas.

Birthday Card

This card is much nicer than the photo shows. This was made using a Craft Robo template off the UKS Just Cutters CD which I bought recently. I added a Happy Birthday gold rub-on and some flowers and a cream and gold bow. The insert has a lovely gold tint to it, but it doesn't show in the picture..

Specially for you

Well I've been so busy over Christmas that I haven't had time to craft or to post here. Now that things have calmed down I am hoping to get back in the swing of things and get some crafting done.

This card is made using graphics from DAISIE - the flowers are decoupaged and there are quite a few layers.

Computer made Christmas Card

Well I've not had any time for crafting the past few days with the run upto Christmas. I have however, ordered myself some Alcohol inks to have a play with in the New Year - can't wait for them to arrive now.

This card was made for all my friends on the Cuddly Buddly web forum. The images were a free download from DAISIE.

No crafting today

Not had chance to do any crafting today as I have been busy trying to get sorted for Christmas. Did a few last bits of gift shopping - hopefully I have everything I need. I posted all my Christmas cards off today and was shocked that everyone had to go as a large letter :-(

Another Christmas Card

This card is for my sister and brother in-law. I used the Bookatrix board and added a decoupage santa.

My First Posting

I have been busy recently making Christmas cards - they are all quick and easy ones as I had a lot to do and little time to do them. Why do I always leave things until the last minute? Above are just a few cards which I made using Cuddly Buddly sets.
